The enigma of Pheelz, mr producer.

Perhaps you have ever wondered about how “lights” in the expression “lights, camera, action!” came to be. The bible’s account of creation described the formation of one original light out of which every other light came to be drawn from. On the very first day God declared, “Let there be light…” and the expanse now known as earth became filled with varying spectrums of light as recorded in the bible book of genesis. Apparently since then, inventive individuals have harnessed this light in different innovative ways just to make life a better place to live.
A vivid example of how light has been harnessed positively is evident in the musical realm. The live experience gotten from some of our favorite musical concerts and live shows remain with us throughout our lifetime. While the artist’s performance counts for a larger part of the experience, proper shows are made more memorable by the amount of creativity and thought that goes into the stage setting, design, props, sound, and last but not the least – lights.
The city of Lagos(Nigeria) is famously known for its eccentric live shows. The term “detty december” is a popular tag used to qualify the numbers of live shows executed in Lagos by Nigeria’s finest musical exports in the month of december. Thousands of Lagosians flock to top tier venues to see their favorite musical numbers being represented in a live setting. A lot is often known about the artist performing on stage, but little is known about the individuals that bring this shows to life.
Pheelz Mr producer has been in the Nigerian music industry for quite some time now ever since producing Olamide’s smash singles “first of all” and “fucking with the devil” in 2012. The strength of his discography speaks volumes, especially when it comes to Olamide, having produced all but one song on arguably his most impactful album till date – Baddest guy ever liveth.
Being an amazing record producer and songwriter. He has worked with big names like Adekunle Gold, Tiwa Savage and countless others, so we cannot but acknowledge his place among Nigerian music great record producers. His numerous award nominations are solid proof of this fact. While he’s famously known for churning out hit records, Mr Phillip Kayode Moses A.K.A Pheelz also happens to be the C.E.O and founder of a show production company you should probably know about.
The foreign entertainment industry is full of hyphenates like Asap rocky, Childish Gambino, Jay – Z, Kanye west and a host of other creatives who are capable at performing effortlessly well in different creative sectors. Locally, we also have individuals like Davido, Olamide, Don jazzy and others who combine the music business with their musical career by owning record labels but no one is really reaching outside of their creative sphere to make pure art like what Pheelz does with Mr producer.
Aside from being that music producer you’ve heard of, Pheelz is also a creative animator and graphic designer. This is a private and exciting part of him that has been kept under wraps for a long time until he decided to make it public in 2018 when he founded what he termed a “360 social production” company called Mr Producer Incorporated.
The production company was created mainly to meet the creative needs of the Nigerian entertainment industry in terms of touring and visual production by designing intuitive animations and stage sets primarily for music concerts and sometimes award shows.
The fact that these animations are mostly designed by Mr pheelz himself gives a clear impression of his creative acumen and brilliance. Mr producer Incorporated anchored or produced about seven musical shows in 2019 alone, designing beautiful animations and visual concepts that explored themes associated with a performing artist before bringing them to life in a live setting.
In his interview with Plus Tv Africa, Pheelz described himself as a person who loves change and enjoys sweeping people off their feet, thereby suggesting that his vision and dream for the company is to bring a creative edge to the production of shows in the entertainment industry.
Mr. Producer Incorporated has already partnered with the likes of Davido, Naira Marley, Wizkid, Burna boy and a host of other huge names. A Stunning animation that featured the 3D model of a young Yoruba lady rotating amidst floating light particles were among the series of designs made for Wizkid’s concert in 2019.
The same design ingenuity was replicated for Burna Boy’s concert also in 2019, with different sets of animated clips that featured three robotic gorillas prancing continually.

Pheelz Mr Producer or Riddimakoolayo (as he has been called in recent times) is a creative talent and visionary who has accomplished a whole lot in the Nigerian entertainment industry already. We are giddying with anticipation as to what he will be accomplishing with Mr Producer Incorporated in the nearest future or when next he’ll be declaring affirmatively like his creator did – “let there be lights “.
